What is the New Amsterdam walking tour Centraal Station Pick Up?
It is a service offered by our company to help those staying by Centraal Station. A New Amsterdam tour employee will meet you in front of the Tourist Information booth next to Centraal Station and will guide you to the tour start point by the WWII National Monument at Dam Square. This service applies to the morning and afternoon free tour. The Red Light District Tour meets only at Centraal Station and the tour will start at this location
What month do the SANDEMANs NEW Amsterdam walking tours start?
The free walking tour and the select tours run year-round in all weather and also on public holidays except April 30th, which is Queen’s day.
Does New Amsterdam Tours ever take the day off?
The ONLY day all year that New Amsterdam Tours are not offered is on April 30th. This is the day that Amsterdam celebrates Queens Day. The streets are packed full of people wearing orange, the canals are gridlocked, and live music and events take place all over the city. Because of the high foot traffic on this day, it is impossible to offer our city walking tour and the Red Light District tour, but feel free to join us for a tour on May 1st when we open up again!
Do the Spanish SANDEMAN's NEW Amsterdam walking tours only run during the summer?
No, the Spanish sightseeing tours run year-round just like the other NEW Amsterdam walking tours.
Are reservations required for the SANDEMANs NEW AMSTERDAM walking tours?
Reservations for the free and select tours are not necessary, unless your group exceeds 10 people. In this case we would recommend a reservation- to provide you the best service you reserve. For private tours, however, reservations are a must.
How long are the SANDEMANs NEW Amsterdam walking tours?
The Free Tour is 3 hours, but Red Light District Exposed, Essential Bicycle Tour and are around 2 hours long.
Is it possible to do two of the SANDEMANs NEW Amsterdam walking tours in one day?
Yes, it is possible to do a Free Walking Tour and the Red Light District Tour in the same day. However, if you are planning on going on the Ultimate Party Pub Crawl and the Red Light District Tour in the same day, you may be pressed for time as the Pub Crawl starts at 8:30pm which is the same time that the Red Light District Tour finishes.
Is there a maximum number of people allowed on a SANDEMANs NEW Amsterdam walking tour?
No, there is no maximum number of people for tours. There are always multiple guides to ensure that everyone can be accommodated. If you are planning on joining the tour with a group larger than ten people, reservations are required so that we can be sure to have an appropriate number of staff members at the tour starting point on the given day.
Are the tours wheelchair accessible?
All the tours contain a few inclines and uneven terrain, and they last for at least 3.5 hours. Despite this, they are all manageable by wheelchair as long as one is accompanied by an able-bodied carrier.
What time do I need to show up for my tour?
It’s not necessary to arrive for a tour BEFORE the start time. If you are running late for the 11am or 1pm pick up time at Centraal Station, then meet us at our start point at Dam Square by 11:15am or 1:15pm.
What languages are the SANDEMANs NEW Amsterdam walking tours offered in?
The Free Walking Tour and the Red Light District Tour are offered in English and Spanish year-round. Private Tours in German and French can be arranged by contacting info@neweuropetours.eu.
Do the SANDEMANs NEW Amsterdam free tours include the entrance fees to the places of interests?
The free walking tour does not include entrance costs to any places which charge entry, but the tour does include entry costs to places that do not cost money to enter.
Does New Amsterdam Tours offer a pub crawl?
While New Europe Tours offers pub crawls in our other cities, in Amsterdam we work with the Ultimate Party Pub Crawl. For more information on Ultimate Party, visit www.joinultimateparty.com.
Ask your free walking tour guide how you can get €2 off the Ultimate Party Pub Crawl just for being on the Free Tour!
On Which Days Does The Pub Crawl Take Place?
The Pub Crawl is now being offered everyday in all weather. For additional pub crawl questions, please contact info@joinultimateparty.com.
What is the Difference Between the Museum Card and the IAMsterdam Card?
While daily passes are available for Amsterdam museums, it is impossible to see every museum in one day. At €39.95 (or just €22.45 if you are under 24) you get free access to all permanent exhibitions throughout the Netherlands with a Museum Card. This includes the Rijks museum, the Van Gogh Museum, the Jewish Museum, the Amsterdam Historic Museum, the Stedelijk Museum or Modern Art and many others.
This Museum Year Ticket, museum-kaart, is definitely worth considering if you want to spend more than a couple of days going through the museums. If you want to squeeze in as many places as possible and get a free canal tour, then the IAMsterdam card for 1 day is €33, including use of public transport (2 days €43, 3 days €53 available from Tourist info in front of the central station).
